The Russians could have blown up the Norway to Poland pipeline to hurt Europe, but they didn't. So why would they blow up thei own pipeline where no gas was flowing into Germany? Make it make sense. Germans will now see that their real enemy is the USA who are destroying their economies, whereas the Russians supplied them with cheap reliable gas which contributed to the wealth of the German people.

The Russians have always come across as restraint, reasonable, fair, providing opportunities for Germany to start ns2 and get the gas they need. By the USA destroying the two pipelines it shows the world that the USA is nothing but a thuggish ter rorists state. This is a loss for the image of the USA.
