  1. Why do they always say "Scarborough" when something happens in Scarborough implying that all of Scarborough is some kind of violent place with crime happening all the time. But when something happens in any other part of the city they only give a tiny intersection that you would never know where it is unless you lived directly in that area? And why do they prioritize anything that happens in Scarborough as the top story? Example there was a stabbing in Scarborough that the person survived and on most days wouldn't even make it into the news. On the same day two people were shot and killed in one incident and another person was shot and killed in a different incident in another part of the city but the stabbing in Scarborough was headline news with the word "Scarborough" repeated over and over. Meanwhile the shootings were barely mentioned and when they were only a tiny intersection was mentioned. Also When things happen anywhere east of downtown they also say "The east end" implying Scarborough. Why don't they ever say "East York" or the neighbourhood it is in instead of "the east end". Scarborough is the east end of Toronto not anything east of downtown. CP24- you need to represent the city better. Scarborough is a large area just a large as any other part of the city and it is not all one large violent place. It is just as safe as anywhere else in the city. It has the same amount of crime (or less) then any other part of the city.

Scarborough is only a part of Toronto so if the entire city is violent then why do they only call out Scarborough and make it appear like only violence happens there? If the entire city is violent then crime should be reported the same way no matter where the crime takes place.

One person committing a mass shooting does not mean an entire province is with a million people is a violent place to be. The news tries to portray Scarborough the same way. They try to find things daily to report that can use the word Scarborough. I have seen them report car accidents (that happen daily in a large city like Toronto) as "big crash in Scarborough" as if it is a violent dangerous place to live or drive. Meanwhile on the same day in other parts of the city people can be shot and it is barely mentioned. CP24 is one of the worst at trying to demonize Scarborough.

  13. you sound stupid. You are more likely to shoot yourself and your family then some criminal. It is funny you can't see the conflict between that statement and gun ownership. If you were a real law abiding citizen your gun would be locked up at home with ammo stored in a different location. So how do you plan on shooting a criminal with your gun locked up at home? Or are you lying when you claim you are a law abiding citizen?
