@maryjeanjones7569 why? More space....free parking, don't need to fight your way through downtown crowds and traffic etc.

how are they "hidden away"? And would you say the same thing about another station like Global that operates out of a building that is even more "hidden" then CFTO. Without knowing where they are located you would never say they were "hidden" even though their building is "hidden" Also Scarborough is part of Toronto. Toronto is far more then just the few blocks in the downtown core

1- being downtown means they have to deal with insane traffic etc just to get to work everyday. So going there to get a story won't be any different. They also don't take the subway or ride a bike to get to a story so they are still going through downtown traffic no matter where they are located 2- a channel like Global operates no where near downtown and are almost located in Scarborough and you don't see any difference with them. CFTO also already operates out of that building and you don't see any difference with them either. This won't have costs. It will increase their efficiency and they can sell the land for money. Seems like a win not a cost

who cares where they move. 99% is filmed from a studio. They could film from warehouse way out in the suburbs or even from another city and you probably wouldn't notice

@Neville60001 you can make any building as boring or lively as you want. At the end of the day however most viewers won't see much or any difference because most of the news cast will be from inside a studio that will look the same no matter where it is filmed. Viewers don't care about a brick building vs a concrete building. To put it in perspective Global TV films out of a warehouse style looking building but you would never really know because you don't really see the building (you can find Global building on Google Maps on a street called Barber Greene). And it is not a nightmare to get to CFTO building. It is right off the highway, it isn't downtown so no downtown traffic. It has free parking etc. You are just offering what your opinion is of "nightmare to get to". In my opinion if I worked for CityTV I would much rather go to the CFTO building then downtown (I know because I work in a similar situation- main office is "downtown" but I work out of an offshoot office so I don't have to go downtown and it is far more preferable)
