If she wants to invoke a Sovereignty Act then go ahead but we should also then cut off all federal funding to Alberta and let them fund their own projects and programs. You can't ask for sovereignty on one hand then take money from the rest of Canada with the other hand. Also the Constitution is very clear on what falls under provincial jurisdiction and what falls under federal jurisdiction. And it is also clear that when there is conflict between the two levels federal jurisdiction takes priority. She should stop her grandstanding.

@delicious_seabass Alberta is allowed to make it's own decisions however as part of Canada it has to follow the Constitution like every other province. And as I stated the constitution is very clear about what falls under each jurisdiction and when in conflict who has priority. If she doesn't like it tough $hit she is part of the country. She cannot make up what parts of the constitution she wants to follow and what ones she doesn't

@yubetou52 I did think it through. There is more to funding between levels of govt then simple transfer payments. Alberta receives a lot in the way of funding from the federal govt. Most of what made them a rich province was the oil fields that were developed through federal funding. Take your own advice and think things through before you comment.
