who cares. They are still the same team. Nothing really changed except the "A" on his jersey changed to a "C". They will still be eliminated in the first round. Problem with the Leafs is not who the captain is but who the fans are. Fans keep showing up to games and buying Leafs Jerseys, TV Cable packages and other Leafs garbage the owners will never have any incentive to change or put a winning team on the ice. At least Harold Ballard was honest with everyone when he said why should he put a winning team on the ice when people still show up in the stands. All this change does is give the owners an opportunity to sell more jerseys as fans swap their "Mathews" jerseys with the "A" on it to one with a "C" And in May they will be crying when the Leafs are eliminated again. Until the fans change there won't be any change on the ice.

@heresalemonsukonit276 I know a lot about hockey however when it comes to the Leafs you don't need to know anything about hockey. The Leafs are a business investment not a hockey team. The owners see the team as a way to make money not as a team to win Stanley Cups. And the fans fall for it. Until the fans change the owners won't either. Why would they....they got your money.

@heresalemonsukonit276 players might want to win. But they won't. And owners don't give a $hit they got your money. At least Harold Ballard was honest when he told everyone that. But you keep believing the new owners when they are "rebuilding". Been rebuilding since 1967. You won't ever see a cup because it is "fans" like you that don't change. Just keep giving your money away but hey "There is always next year" lol. Bunch of lo$ers.
