Profits are soaring yet they can't provide it's employees with a fair wage increase. This just shows that it is not all inflation causing our "problems" but corporate profit gouging.

Air Canada is not a monopoly. There are dozens of different airlines you can pick from. Pearson airport alone 46 airlines operate and serve flights to over 147 destinations.

@briankroger7879 when inflation is up 5 to 10% and the company's revenue is up 89.9% and profit up 100% a 2% wage increase is not fair. When their employees work for $17 per hour just barely above minimum wage while revenue is soaring it is unfair I agree. If company's revenue/ profit increases were in line with wage increase I would see that as more "fair". Example if profits increased by 2% and wages increased by 2% while inflation was at 5% it is both the company and employee are made poorer by inflation but wages would be in line with company profits (or "fair") However when companies profits are soaring and they are blaming it on inflation while keeping wages low then that is not inflation and it is not "fair" wages. The company is gouging the public by hiking prices while blaming it on the economy or inflation and doing it on the backs of their employees. I am not always in favour of "unions" or "anti big business" but there are times when companies need to be held accountable also.

@christopherconceal9715 1- you are full of $hit when you say that the govt is telling big companies not to give pay increase. 2- even if we believe your $hit then big companies do not have to listen to the govt. You sound like a fool.
