  2. people are not upset that the road needs repair. People understand that. People are upset that one of the only major arteries into the city from the west end is being closed down for over 4 years when it could take much less time if they worked more hours. It isn't about needing repairs it is about how long workers are milking the job. Should be done in two years....three at the most. But the plan was four years which in reality we all know will stretch into 5 or 6. Everyone wants safety but it shouldn't take half a decade to build it. And by the way a little off topic but your caps locks is stuck.

  3. it is the Gardiner Expressway. The province took responsibility of the Gardiner along with the DVP because they are basically 400 series highways that just change name when they hit Toronto's border. It is basically the 403 until it hits Mississauga where it changes name to QEW/ 403 then changes name to Gardiner Expressway as it goes into Toronto. It pretty much is the 403. Just like the DVP is the 404 until it hits Toronto. The DVP is pretty much the 404. Province is always responsible for 400 series highways just like they maintain the 401 sections going through Toronto. City should never be paying to update the Gardiner. City isn't getting any welfare. If the city is helping to replace parts of the Gardiner with their own funds then it is the province that is getting welfare from the city of Toronto. It is provincial responsibility (Ford even enacted that back in Nov 2023).

  4.  @rafial81  the city is paying for it. They are taking credit for what they are paying for even though they shouldn't be paying for anything. It is provincial responsibility and should be fully funded by the province. The city isn't collecting welfare. It is the province that is collecting welfare from the city.

If you born and lived in Scarborough you lived Toronto born and raised. 6- "BIRCHMOUNT" not "BIRCHMONT" 7- fourth time it is "AND" not "AN" 8- I am not sure how where you live is relevant to how long it would take to repair the Gardiner. What point are you trying to make? 2- "pacman" not "pack man" 3- "AND" not "AN" (you seem to have trouble spelling basic three letter words) 4- "borough" not "bouroue" 5- Scarborough was a borough of Toronto meaning it was part of Toronto not in the GTA. It became an independent city for a brief period of time. However it is now a borough of Toronto. It is part of Toronto. Not in the outer GTA regions. 6- again it is "AND" not "AN" 7- what does your age have anything to do with your original comment. What point are you trying to make? 8- what facts are you stating and how do they relate to your original comment?
