  1. I have lived overseas for 6 years in Asia. Some of the countries i have visited prostitution is normalized. Officially illegal but not really enforced. An observation i made of these countries, and this can be corroborated by watching channels focused on these cultures. There is even one on Japan i highly recommend. Anyway, in such countries divorce rates go up and suicide rates also go up. Now in countries like Japan we can throw different contributing factors like work environment but countries like Thailand which don't have that same work environment puts a different perspective in the discussion. To make a long story short, Candice is correct on this. Prostitution doesn't solve it creates and even exacerbates new ones.
