Why would that be a concern? Culture and religion are not one and the same. Sure it helps shape it but ultimately every church that grew from a particular culture formed along those very cultural lines. For example if you go to any church associated with native Americans you are going to find a great deal of native customs within the church such as prayer songs and the use of water drums. Both being iconic of native American culture. It should never be a concern that the culture is going to change. That is not what christ is interested in. He wants people to come to him as they are not as somebody else. Whoever started that scare, I suspect the party, really doesn't know anything. Even if you go to a church in northern Europe you will find iconic cultural references to their viking heritage or Ireland you will find Celtic cultural references such as the cross commonly associated with Irish Christians. You will notice their iconic cross has a great deal symbolic iconography to the Celts and their culture. I am actually eager to attend a uniquely Chinese church and experience God's presence there.

So then why are there 1st century references and even apologists when the council of nicea wasn't until 325 AD? Look up the names Ignatius and polycarp if you don't believe me. Also if the bible wasn't put together until the 3rd century then how come the destruction of the Temple of God, which happened in 70 AD is nowhere to be found in the new testament? Jesus after all did predict it would happen so wouldn't it make sense for a 3rd century writer to include that little detail? Or mention how Paul or Peter died who were 2 of the 3 pillars of the first century church? It seems to me that you really didn't investigate your claim very well.
