  1. I wonder what the inspiration behind reverend Kane and his cult came from. It is a fascination with me because doomsday cults and their leaders seem to be a regularity in the true crime world. Some get shutdown because the cult leaders crimes get to the police in time others like the heavens gate and Jonestown get to the police too late and it ends in tragedy. Reverend Kane seems to be one such cult leader. Making him into a ghost that just couldn't accept the outcome of his theology to the point where he became a malevolent entity obsessed with this little girl is a perfect illustration of how cult leaders like Charles Manson and Jim Jones tend to be in life. And it is true that some people are simply more dangerous dead than alive so kane the ghost further illustrates that fact.
