They pulled this exact same bloody thing in my wife's country don't let them do it your countrymen will hate your guts later if you do. Not a threat or anything I mean that's what's likely going to happen because that's what happened in every country they pulled this crap in.

I had a girlfriend once from Shanghai, btw I am mostly white with Chinese and Native American ancestry, we broke up after her friends pressured her to marry someone else. Her friends did this because I was not Chinese in fact they hated me because of it which I never experienced before, and she was pressured into marrying this other guy who was. The closest I experienced with this level of prejudice before then was being a devout Christian in a dominantly secular school in the 90s. It never made sense since she and I were in a serious relationship. The more I learned about what Chinese people go through and the lengths the CCP have gone to keep their people overseas in line. Today, I often wonder what their real motivations were and what was really going on back then.

If there is a Chinese church in your area, Show you support them attend make friends with them and remind them they have friends if they need them. Even if they never call you they will appreciate you. If you are Buddhist, same thing. Point is let them know you are for them and they are not alone.

Every little effort helps them. If you don't know Chinese, learn it and make them aware you know it, politely of course let them assume what they like. And if anyone is Law Enforcement really doesn't matter if you live in a Chinese community or not, volunteer as an off duty courtesy officer and check in on their communities, Churches and businesses whenever possible. Pretty much do the exact same thing neighborhood watch groups do have a visual presence of concerned citizens and able bodied LEOs or even military members. It will make their own efforts harder even if they resort to intimidation and it sends the message that these people are hands off go trouble someone else.

Back in college my best friends were Chinese my ex gf was Chinese, long story prefer to keep it out of this and in case some 50 cent goon decides to bring it up jokes on you she chose to be American over Chinese so take it somewhere else, now they are pulling this crap and it’s no secret why it’s because they know foreigners are letting them know what’s really going on and the truth is quite literally setting them free from the ccp and they think making their own people xenophobic is somehow going to curtail that except the people of china have had enough of the ccp and they all want the party gone.
