Because real commitment is only checked when the woman gets pregnant, has consequences such as infections, incontinence etc and is then bound by 2-3 kids and ill health often, but the man is free to go. Before you have kids it is not even a relationship, it is a childs play.

@laraedreira7780 You will see. I am not saying that your man will necessarily leave you, he might not. However, you simply have no idea whether your bond is one of strength or of convenience. If you are together for 17 years, it means your fertility is already next to 0, and when you both try, you are likely to have to face tragic disappointment. Then your odds of having a mutation are extremely high. How do you know how your man will meet having to console you aborting the second or third trisomy baby? And so on and so forth... life together has not yet begun? sj far you two are rehearsing only. It might be all right, however if a woman is nearly 40, the likely hood of happy life with a kid is vanishing... More divorces happen with kids than without. If your relationship already made a choice of being able to withstand the nature for 17 years, it is not promising at all? A truly loving couple would not be able t be together for so long without longing to have a little copy of their love.

No, I do not think family and reproduction is the main thing, same as oxygen is not the main thing in your life. But without motherhood a woman is like without oxygen. And no man who truly loves his woman would not want to jave a child by her. The relationship between a man and a woman is not real and not full when they are childless. If he did not want to see a child born by you, for 17 years, it is not love, it is free sex.

You also don't know the love of a man who wants to have grandchildren with his woman. Like someone who is blind from birth, and of course does not consider his life handicapped or unhappy but other people who have vision know what he is missing, you just cannot understand how narrow and shallow your life is, and of course 20 years on the pill change a woman psychologically into an not-fully-woman. No, a true heterosexual love is not the relationship between two people, but two people who have offspring. If a woman is childless, her use by date for any woman come at about 45, then she will be discarded. You will see it for yourself. First you need statistics for oncological diseases in childless women, then make a list of all childless women ofer 55 you know , and count how many are married and how many are single. You cannot make such a comparison, so listen to more experienced women: if love+motherhood is 100%, then just chldless love us about 3%. NO woman who raised a child would want to be childless. Same way as who has vision will never want to cover his eyes forever, even if he has to see good and bad scenes. No, love about a man and a woman is loving, living, having offspring. A childless living together is not a full relationship. As you are too young to have your close friends being over 55, you yet have not heard them confessing in the tragedy of childlessness to you. So far your husband's empty mate is still attractive, but not for long.

No, no woman regret having kids, but they feel sorry for you so keep the truth away from you, same as you are not going to brandish your good 20-20 vision in front of someone who has never been able to read the optometrist/s table. I do listen to advice of more experienced people, solicited or not. These are people professionally fulfilled and who have grown up happy grandchildren. Divorce is easy in Russia, and always has been since 1920s, no inheritance or gifts can be shared, split is always 50:50 and child maintenance is always 25%, so no need to hire lawyers. Many people divorced, but many people were happy together, including my grandparents. My parents also had about 6 months only before marriage, they are still together happy. Looking at your comments, and being a married mother of three lovely people, I can tell that no person will find himself compatible with you. Too grim, too unpleasant, and lacking admiration for other people - we would say about such a woman.

Giving birth to the man's child is risky and she can die, be left incontinent, lose her beauty and health forever. Then she is bound by maternal feelings towards the offspring of the man for at least 25 years, just for the fact of getting pregnant by him. Hes commitment is absolute. If a man does not want to take his share of absolute risk (poverty is much nicer than death as a risk), he is not worth committing to.

Your partner is committing all her health, life, beauty, youth to bear children for you. So you can procreate, she is prepared to endure pain that you will never experience in your lifetime unless you are a war veteran. From your side however it is just a piece of paper. Wow.

@mekbebtamrat817 17th or 21st, woman's body is the same, and pregnancy still gives stretchmarks, spoils teeth (I personally lost 12 pieces of my teeth just braking off randomly during pregnancies), incontinence (absolutely humiliating) in a huge percentage of women, dilated stomach muscles diastasis (I personally suffered this), breasts infections with surgery and huge scars and lots and lots of other things, pure health risks, and EVERY woman who is a mother would tell you, if you ask, a health issue that she got in connection with giving birth, it is the norm, as much as the norm is for men to die in battles of war. Well, my grandfather came intact after WW2, it still does not mean that going to war is safe. Therefore any woman who lets a man's penis into her vagina, commits her health fully and wholeheartedly to the relationship. Think!
