In the 1940s or so...a certain international clan who today are quite powerful people having significant control and power seeking to bring about a "..New..World..Order.." ....well back then they were not powerful, so as the story goes that i learned since i am a word nerd/i love Truespeak/Wisespeak/Oldspeak/Biblespeak, the word Android and Robot were hijacked and a bait and switch was done. The true definition of "Robot' comes from Czech robotnik "forced worker," from robota "forced labour, compulsory service, drudgery," from robotiti "to work, drudge," from an Old Czech source akin to Old Church Slavonic rabota "servitude," from rabu "slave" [from Old Slavic ~orbu-, from PIE ~orbh- "pass from one status to another;" see orphan].
