Yes the internet is quite the double-edged sword, i'm a veteran, been using it since the 1980s, the days of BBSs & USENET, and the misinformation and mal-information has exploded, to me anyway, since roughly 2010ish if not a little sooner. Many do not do the quality competent assiduous careful lengthy indagation into a matter before they offer their views, they think erroneously that a simple topical study is sufficient to be sure they are well-informed.
