Catholics and Orthodox were limited to Goa , Maharashtra, Kerela and a few other Settlements either under Portuguese or managed by descendants of Syrian Christians. after the Brits , evangelical Baptism spread in North Eastern Frontier Agency (now 7 north eastern states of India Assam , Arunachal Pradesh , Manipur , Meghalaya , Nagaland , Mizoram and Tripura) , In Central India particularly in Tribal dominated areas, In all of South Indian states ( Telangana, Andhra Pradesh , Karnataka , Tamil Nadu and Kerela ) , and finally all of India . but the places i mentioned are now becoming Christian majority or are already one , and this wasn't the case before Brits. even Christianity in Nepal become popular under the British aided missionaries despite never been under Brits.
