This is why the Americans won. Such jingoism in real life never worked and never will. and this happened in not only Midway, but many battles , including those which Japan could have easily won. look at Vietnam. how they being totally undeveloped ,still managed to outwit and defeat the French and later both Americans and Chinese. they played their cards very well and are now Sovereign , United and Doing decent ,if not outstandingly well.
