@finndog2759 Japan was gonna attack USA one way or another. and funny fact is US even hadn't taken restricting oil to Japan that seriously when it was at war with China. rather US was kind of eager for both Japan and Nationalists to join hands and fight commies which of course never happened. what Japan wanted was total monopoly on Pacific and that included Philippines under only as Asian colonial power and not remain any semi independent protectorate of any Anglosphere Nation (USA here) Japan was so overdrugged in it's ambition , their territorial hunger far wilder than their German and Italian allies that they were planning to invade the Soviets, The British colonies, Australia , New Zealand , India and even Mainland US all at once. Hope this was all false and my own made fantasy tale .except they never were. never in the first place.
