  2. 9:08 Uhhmm RPG-7s & Type-69 were not that used in Yugoslav wars btw ( only Bosniaks & to an Extent Croatians used them in limited ) . Instead The Yugoslav wars saw use of RPG-2 & Locally developed anti Tank weapons like the RB-M57 , M-79 Osa ( which was based on French 89mm LRAC F1 RCL ) & The M-80 Zolja ( which was based on RPG-18 , Which itself was based on M72 LAW ) as well as various Rifle launch grenades & both 82mm & 106mm Recoilless Rifles . Also Both The PRAGA M53 / 59 , ZSU-57-2 were used against Ground troops as well

Hello Matt , This Vehicle also has a lighter counterpart called the Panhard ERC-90 both Lynx with the French AML-90's turret & Sagaie with TS-90 Turret from the rare Renault VBC-90 ( The VBC-90 was derived from the Renault VAB Wheeled APC . The ERC-90 was much lighter & easier for Airborne Operations & lightning warfare tactics by French Foreign Legion in the Sahel Region of Northern Africa

  10. Also China has made a similar Self propelled Howitzer called the PLZ Type-83 152mm Howitzer based on Type-89 Tank destroyer & PHZ-82 122mm MLRS Chassis . China also made a 130mm Version of PLZ-83 Howitzer for Export version & currently both 152mm & 130mm are in War thunder

It was the last standard 155mm Howitzer based on the M114 & was the standard 155mm Artillery of the US Army & Allies from the late 80s till Early 2000s . This Howitzer saw action mainly during 1991 Persian Gulf war , 1993 US led intervention in Somalia , 2001 War in Afghanistan & 2003 Invasion of Iraq . It is also the standard 155mm Howitzer in service with the New Iraqi federal army & saw action against Daesh during 2014-18 war against Terror . The M198 was eventually replaced by BAE Systems M777 155mm Howitzer during the mid 2010s

  13. Indian DRDO was also inspired by Soviet Era BM-21 , BM-27 & BM-30 MLRs to make own domestic MLRs . & hence this started the project Pinaka . The very first 214mm Version was deployed by 210 Rocket Regiment of Indian army during Operation Vijay in 1999 Kargil war , which has a longer range & more payload compared to the existing 122mm BM-21 MLRs in service . After that work on development took place on both 122mm & 214mm Version , both inducted in army in large numbers . Later evaluating the performance of New Generation Guided MLRS like Israeli PULS & Brazilian ASTROS SS-40G & SS-60 , new GPS guided versions of Pinaka 214mm Variant are under development & are about to complete soon

  16. The real problem facing is the lack of factories that are dedicated to making IFVs & Armored Vehicles . For 7th Largest Country , We have only One Factory at Avadi that produces tanks & Many other smaller Industries dedicated to e IFV & Tank refurbishments . Also The import gang who are more focused on Imported goods than going Local . Just look at recent India US Stryker deal as well as India Canada dispute & how Canadian govt temporarily banned the sales of Stryker parts to India ( Good for us & our Tata Kestrel Tho . Also It will be good to see what your view as a Canadian has in the development of Kestrel 8X8 APC & Zorawar 105mm Light Tank

South Koreas made the KH-179 155mm Howitzer , which is basically a heavily modified M114 with longer barrel while the Iranians reverse engineered the KH-179 & made HM-41 Howitzer

  26. There were many AMX-10 RCs destroyed which were mistaken as Leopard 2 Losses due to the added slat armor . Also if your armored vehicle with that thin armor is getting hit either by a 152mm or even a a 130mm or any Improvised Artillery shell + Mines IEDs , nothing will remain there & it is getting obliterated beyond recognition , just like the Soviet T-64s , T-72s , T-80s & more modern Russian T-90s & Ukrainian T-84s after getting a direct Carousel Ammo Rack hit

There are many Good Indian Equipment out there like Pinaka 214mm MLRS , Zorawar Light Tank , Tata 8X8 WHAP Kestrel , Mahindra ALSV , OFB Aditya / Yuktirath , Brahmos Missile , Akash NG , Tata MRAP etc Also There will be some logistical sharing between Zorawar Light Tank & Proposed FICV as both are being made by Larsen & Turbo

Recently Morocco has chosen 150 WHAPs in place of ZBL08 after extensive Trials conducted by Royal Moroccan Army . However despite being chosen by CRPF & Army , there are certain lobbies in our department who are pushing for induction of Stryker instead of Kestrel WHAP despite all trials successfully cleared by Kestrel

Also Chechnya wars earned the t-80, especially it's gas turbine engine a very Bad reputation in the Russian Ground Forces Edit :- also second largest stockage of T-64 is maintained by Kazakhstan

  43. India also made a new 8 X 8 APC called Tata Kestrel / WHAP along with Another variant made by Mahindra . The Tata Variant of WHAP was recently chosen by Royal Moroccan army over Chinese ZBL-08 APC & 150 such WHaP are expected to enter soon under local production in Morocco itself . Also CRPF has chosen the Mahindra Variant of WHAP for it's service with , 8 already in service since their entry in mid 2024 & 40-50 more to enter soon . Indian army , mostly those stationed near Ladakh & Assam Rifles have chosen this vehicle with 15-20 in Service & Further 105 on Order . However these numbers are Inadequate & the Army is also looking to induct Stryker from the US despite proven tests for WHAP to be successful for army's way of operations
