  1. More than Ukraine , I am concerned more about Taiwan. The chain reaction started by invasion of Ukraine will eventually give PLA a nice excuse to invade Taiwan. Keep in mind , that like Georgia, Ukraine has a high chance of coming back alive but with much reduced territories to the east. But not Taiwan. Once Taiwan is gone , it is gone. that being said, long live the spirit of SunYat Sen and Chiang Khai Shek . and long live Taiwan. and Republic of China.

  4. @Brett Rose a Political and Psychological threat. as well as a strategic gift . post Korean war , Chinese war doctrine view conquering Enemies minds first above enemy's lands. This is the way they are winning wars without bloodshed, unless at a point bloodshed is necessary like in Sino Indian and Sino Vietnamese conflicts . Taiwan have only one major significance ,by being a strategic Naval base that can keep a watchful eye on . once Taiwan is in Chinese hands, The PLAN will be able to protect their claim on the nine dash lines in China without much fuss. besides, the Chinese civil war on mainland is over by 1949 , but on ideological & political battlefield, the war between CCP and Nationalists is still going on, with none of them backing down from their claims as being the True China. currently only 8 nations have diplomatic relations with Taiwan. as long as Taiwan exists, so does the party of Chinese nationalists.
