The shia dominated Federal govt & Peshmerga kind of signed a temporary agreement to wipe out daesh & their allies from Iraq by end of 2018 , but by 2017 itself ( 90 % of Daesh was wiped out at this point ) Iraqi govt backtracked & attacked Peshmerga following which 20% of Kirkuk was seceded to them by Peshmerga in exchange of autonomy

@emrealn3786 Turkey has always been targeting the kurds even before Assad sought for temporary alliance ,as far as conducting operations early on during 2012-2016 . there's nothing new except for a more vicious attempt which is turning the same way Azeri won over Armenians
