Been T1 diabetic for 20 years now and it’s always fun to follow these advancements (with realistic expectations) - real time digital glucose monitoring is probably the most life changing thing I’ve experienced. Great work and super interesting history too, I’ll refer to my urine when I have high blood sugar as honey going forward 😂

I am interested if 3d printing could help produce more intricate solid electrolyte topologies, as this has been seen to help create a better interface between ceramic electrolytes and the electrodes (this interface is the biggest challenge for solid state batteries in my opinion). Also, I would be interested to know more about how much waste is saved using 3d printing, as batteries are not made like other components using CNC machines (which is where 3d printing as a replacement really shines). I have always used 3d printing as a prototype method and seen it more for bespoke or low volume products, so I will be looking out for it's application in mass manufacturing!

  6. Great coverage as always Matt! I was (and still am!) very excited about the NIF breakthrough, but more as it relates to current science rather than fusion energy production. The focus on NIF (from what I understand) is more around nuclear security, not energy. This is why my eyes are still mainly on the other big players in fusion energy, with Helion, CFS, and ITER being high on the list!

  7. Great insight as always Rosie :D It is often easy to look at projects short term and not consider how useful they will be as part of the bigger picture. Many clean energy projects could benefit from doing a 'minimal viable product' to test technical challenges much earlier than they currently are!
