IN FLA I am going to flip 3 cars, my wife 3 cars, my dog 3 cars, each goldfish 3 cars- that about covers 12 months
9
HER doing that is very RUDE and shows how ignorant she is, NO THANKS THEN they wonder WHY they can't get a date ! So funny GET OUT OF THE US and find a REAL woman
5
Like your upfront and NO BS videos It all depends on the state, Florida is very tough to deal with, the state is run by complete conmen and crimminals It seems Georgia is a lot better and easier
4
SPOT ON - used car dealer reps don't know SHIT about the mechanics of cars .... TOTALLY TRUE Have seen it everywhere.
3
WORKING FINE FOR ME ! WHAT are YOU doing wrong ?
3
NO, BAD IDEA, here is why If the car itself has say 250-300k on it and you put a lower mileage engine in it, IT'S STILL a car with 300k on it. What does that mean, it means EVERYTHING ELSE is nearly worn out ; steering rack, transmission, rear end, brakes, suspension - everything will begin to fail so the money you spent for the engine doesn't get rid of the MILEAGE on the CAR itself

Doing the use of a friend's license to buy at dealer auctions worked for me for 25 years But it was a friend I trusted and he never let me down Was not doing quantity but specific cars here and there Paid him $150 per car but today it's up to $250 a car. IF you want to sell them on his lot, agree on the split the profit, it's easy You can also put them in YOUR name up to the state limit
2
KIA and HYUNDAI are HISTORY, cars are worth NOTHING
2
@LuckyLopez777 with a wholesalers license
2
I bought dealer auction cars using a small Mom and Pop dealer's license of a friend of mine for 25 years. I had another job that took me out of the country so I wasn't doing volume, but it worked great. I did something that NOBODY is talking about, I put the cars in MY name, paid sales tax 8% and got a regular tag. You might think that is CRAZY but when you have cars you bought right, you can spend 10% registering it. ALL this W/O me getting a dealers license. I'll spend 10% any day to avoid spending all that $$ for a dealers license. When searching for cars on places like CL, I always put in values like $200-800 to see what pops up, you NEVER KNOW and that beats going through thousands of ads. Work the value up slowly into your max value you want to spend. In today's market I question if it's a good time to get into this full time, things are pretty shaky, not to mention car insurance is out of sight
2
that makes them UN-AFFORDABLE AFFORDABLE CARS ?
2
I remember back in 2009 when aptos were selling in a complex we used to rent in for $15,000 for a 1br, before that they were selling for $55,000 HOPE TO SEE MORE OF THE SAME IN 2024
2
NICE that our JAILS will be filling up with NEW FELONS, LOAN FRAUD IS A FELONY VERY GOOD THING for the rest of us HONEST PEOPLE
2
Like you say, sell now at a loss or the towtrucks from the banks will be visiting you
2
THOSE BANKS are helping these stupid dealers go broke , at the same time the BANK will end up going broke too
2
I am seeing some hellacious deals from tow company auctions, I am talking cheap Seeing a lot of cars selling for $350-1,000 run and drive in the southeast Sure looks like a good source of cheap cars
1
Make sure you check WHO IS SELLING the vehicle TRY to ONLY buy from insurance companies, NOT body shops or other small dealers, because they usually have TRIED to fix them up or have doctored them up to look better than they are, you get screwed !
1
SAME thing the realtors said about buying houses - " The market will continue to go up, BUY NOW" BUY at the peak, DIE when you sell You're right, they are greedy dummies !
1
I can imagine all these Gen Z and Millenials working on cars ! So funny
1
The public are total liars, yes. I stick to my guns and don't flex, you either have the cash or it's NO deal Take no prisoners
1
IT'S NOT just cars that are in trouble and are going to get CHEAP, it's also BOATS and small AIRPLANES including SAILBOATS, WHY ? Because the cost of a boat slip back in 1995 was $100 for a 40 foot boat, today it's $15 a foot ! ALL these people who wanted to LIVE THE LIFE, expecially in Florida, are in BIG TROUBLE and will have to sell their TOYS and lose theirasses Couldn't happen to a nicer group of people !
1
LUCKY ... hey, normally I would NOT TOUCH a Korean car but I see you like them What criteria do you use when buying them ? Under a certain mileage - as they wear out over 150k Years best ? Certain models ! Do you buy stick shift cars ? I personally love them but many dont know how to drive them
1
BANKS that are giving 120+ days for NON PAMYMENT can't see the gigantic TITANIC coming real soon IT'S like letting the BANK ROBBERS make the rules GREED will be the KILLER of this situation, hope they lose their houses too, it gives me a headache I'd rather stare at Danielle's beautiful LEGS !
1
Hey Lucky .... I am watching craigslist and FB in Florida, specifically Tampa and S FLA and used car prices are dropping almost back to what I can normal, I think they will continue to go down because nobody has any money I am seeing the same trend in apartments for rent Rents have come down from $2,000 now appraoching $1100, back to what they were in 2015. YES there are SOME rentals for $4,500 a month because there are some high end rentals in S FL Watching some public auctions too and prices are way down, lot of them are impounds Am thinking I should get back into the business this year later, sucks that in FL you can only sell 3 cars per year, used to be 6. So I'd have to go the small dealer route Definately have always loved solid but cheap cars, the ONLY way to go The little dealers and wholesalers will do fine
1
LUCKY ... about CARFAX MANY CARS have been in accidents or have been damaged BUT fixed outside of the insurance company, thus CARFAX has NO idea it was wrecked. CARFAX saying a car HAS NOT BEEN DAMAGED is not 100% true
1
NEVER bought expensive cars at the auction, only up to 5,000, some old Alfa Romeos that I resold in less than a week ! STICK WITH CHEAP !
1
@LuckyLopez777 RIGHT, Time to find ways around spending (wasting) money
1
AND the auction MAKES A FEE every time the car runs, so the auction isn't losing money, it's big money for them. Do the auctions demand these RUN FEES imediately after the car runs ? I HOPE SO
1
AVOID CARS with title problems DON'T BUY auction cars without the title present, they will tell you if it's not there
1
YES unfortunately MANY people in the car business are ignorant DICKS Makes it bad for the rest of us.
1
Want to spend some time in JAIL ? DO yourself a favor, call your state DMV office and ask them how many cars can a private person sell per every 12 months ? In FLA it's 3. Then, ask them what will happen if you sell more than that ? And ask them what will happen if you buy a car and resell it without transferring the title into your name - JUMPING THE TITLE. YOU WON'T LIKE THEIR ANSWERS !
1
I DON'T KNOW LUCKY .... getting into cars at this time is like going out and getting your real estate license !! You'd make more money working at Walmart or Harbor Freight !
1
The biggest probem for people who are NOT dealers is the limit of cars you can resell per 12 months, FLA is now 3 per year FOR SURE, IF you are not a dealer, you get SCREWED buying from Copart/IAA because of the fees because you have to use a broker. IF you ARE a dealer, then it's not so bad IS much cheaper to buy at dealer auctions like Manheim IF you have a dealer friend or your are a dealer @thomasharris5151
1
@ritikparmar3022 Depending on your state, you are limited to how many cars you can sell in a 12 month period, otherwise you will get fined or go to jail. Florida is 3. Likewise if you buy a car, get the title and don't put it in your name, and pass it along to the new owner, that is called JUMPING THE TITLE and is ILLEGAL. Will get you fined and in bit trouble. Best to find a small dealer that will let you use their license to buy cars. If you want to drive it, put it in your name. If you want to sell it, give it to the dealer to sell it for you. Beware there are dealers who will SELL your car and keep the $$ Best to go to a dealer only auction and go talk the MANAGER, HE probably knows an honest dealer that will let you use their license and pay a flat fee per car, like $250
1
BOTH are going to TAKE IT IN THE SHORTS before it's all over
1
MOST DEALERS don't know shit about the mechanics of ANY CAR THEY are NOT mechanics and have no clue
1
you mean STEALERSHIPS and CRIMMINAL bankers ? @LuckyLopez777
1
Lucky ... if I am a wholesale dealer, can I buy auction RV's, boats, airplanes and put them in MY name ? OR can I put them in MY dealer's name ?
1
Ok thanks Hoping there was some way around that problem @LuckyLopez777
1
Ok, I figured it out = as a wholesale dealer I buy a car I want at the auction. I sell it to my dealer buddy for what I paid for it + $10. HE resells it to me as a private buyer and I register it in MY name. DONE DEAL and legal. When I want to buy another car for me, I offer him another one for what I paid for it so he can make some profit selling it to another private party Works for both of us
1
And your lesson from that ? = DON'T LEAVE THE FRIKKIN KEYS IN THE IGNITION !
1
DON'T have the same problem down here in Brasil ... OR ANY of the problems the USA has I just turn OFF the TV and mostly stay off the internet AND GO TO THE BEACH or out to a nice STEAKHOUSE where a couple can spend $25 for a full buffet and all the steak you can eat. I live on $500 a month total. Rents here near the beach are $300-450 a month I paid $27,000 for my 2br condo 70m2, condo tax $20 TOO BAD for you poor mf'ers are STUCK in that stupid country DO MISS buying and selling cars up there BUT we do have COPART and private car auctions here, might give that at try
1
COPART FEES will eat you alive and you really don"t the condition of the car You may win on some but the BAD ones will eat up your profit
1
GEN Z Millenial nobody
1
HELL YEAH, I always transfer new purchases at the at DMV BEFORE passing any money IF the seller won't do that, I walk away
1
SO MANY MECHANICS don't know a rats ass about electricity Going more heavily into electric vehicles will give you another niche to repair that others don't have a clue. An electrician/mechanic can make a killing
1
DON'T BUY any cars that have NON working AC unless YOU can fix it yourself
1
EASIEST WAY to tell if it's a butchered repair job is to LOOK WHO IS SELLING IT IF it's a body shop, repair shop and NOT THE INSURANCE COMPANY, chances are good it was put back together like DOG SHIT INSURANCE COMPANIES DO NOT REPAIR VEHICLES
1
SO, what is the best NEW GIG in the car business ; Car rentals ? Flatbed REPO trucks ? Car repair ?????? WHAT is going to happen with these crooked CAR RENTAL companies like HERTZ ?? THERE is a HUGE WAY to make millions somewhere in there !
1
TESLA ... in the process of CRASHING THEY even screw their loyal customers, their END is coming soon The other thing about being way upside down by 30k is that once it crashes and the lender grabs the car, YOU owe the balance above it's current value. What does that do ? IT WRECKS YOUR CREDIT so you can't buy shit
