I never in the past spent more than a few minutes online
Since Covid much of my time is online here on YT- 8-12 hours per day
I AM learning a lot of new things but I am lacking a real life, being around friends, doing things I miss
Have also moved overseas and can't find enough things to keep be busy that I used to do in the US; going sailing, buying and selling cars, spending a lot of time at the beach watching sunsets, looking for deals at thrift stores to keep or resell, ham radio.
Mostly chasing used cars at auctions, travelling to see various auctions really was one of the things that brought me the most happiness, I loved it
When I do go out and talk to friends I've met here, I feel 100% better !
I THINK this kind of life in an EPIDEMIC now and it's affecting a high percentage of people
It makes them (us) depressed, sad, unhappy etc and I believe can lead to mass suicides eventually.
Including in those things that make me (and most people) lose my depressing in being around animals especially dogs. At this time I don't want to adopt a dog because caring for one would increase the strain on my mind but spending time volunteering at the SPCA would give me that animal fix and make me a happier person
My 2 cents on how to beat depression and a sad life
