@teofrastobombasto The British seem not to care about anyone else. But their medical chief said today he reckons there are 55,000 cases (they don't know because there's very little testing). At 3.5% death rate that's about 2,000 deaths. The NHS has already stopped all non-essential stuff and are sending patients home. The 'herd immunity' the government talks about requires 60% of the population to get the virus - which at 3.5% would be 1.47 million deaths. At 1%, assuming the rate slows down and vulnerable groups are isolated, it would be 420,000 deaths. Either way it's more than the 326,000 killed in the Second World War.

@eowyn5250 Starmer wouldn't allow this nonsense about 'herd immunity' or the lack of testing. Johnson is a proven liar and needs to be removed.
