Interesting interview. Any agreement has to pass the Commons. Remains the case.

@wemuk5170 There could be a referendum on the agreement with the EU. Mps might agree that if the only alternative is a no-deal crash out. Boris wants a new agreement, and even Farage has said he wants the Brexit party to be "part of the negotiation team" - ie they know what a disaster their hard Brexit would be.

@callummcgloin9080 The EU27 have made clear they're going back on the withdrawal agreement - which took two years and was based on the British government's "red lines". Even the populist right in Europe has dropped the idea of leaving the EU, and that is largely due to the experience of Brexit ....

@wemuk5170 The EU position was agreed by the 27 elected governments. The British laid down several red lines (no customs union, no membershup of the single market, no workers' freedom of movement) - and after 2 years of talks the British parliament threw the agreement out. The EU27 position isn't going to change because they will protect the intergrity of the Union and the single market. Initially the EU proposed a backstop for Northern Ireland - given its special status and the Irish government indentifying the Good Friday Agreement as a national interest - but the British rejected this, insisting that it applied to all the UK.
