  3. The fact that the UK is about the crash out of the EU without an agreement. That's the problem. There were two years of talks based on British red lines and then the British rejected the agreement ....

  5.  @elecsEng  Surely Brexit was all about controlling or stopping immigration? You're now talking just about keeping out criminals? Or are you seriously suggesting the British should be allowed to go anywhere they want, whereas no-one should come into Britain - if so you need to realise the British Empire has gone. It's 2019, not 1919.

  9.  @stellacoulson7767  I agree. Who cares if the EU has worldwide trading agreements the UK is now walking away from? The main thing is that the UK parliament has control … although Boris Johnson may have to suspend it. The problem is all these foreigners – like Farage’s wife and children. They’re all rapists. Where are we going to sell the fish, though? The main market is the EU27.

  14.  @Steven_Rowe  Being conquered by force of arms - ie the British Empire - is very different to a democratic country taking the decision to join the European Union. There is really no parallel.

  16.  @Steven_Rowe  Simple? No. That's why the withdrawal agreement took over two years. Regulations, duties, safety procedures, animal welfare, Ireland treated as a single unit for much of agri-food, visas, movement of workers (health, agriculture), subsidies for roads and other infrastructure, regional policy, driving licences, insurance, banking, vehicle regulations, etc etc etc.
