  11. @mhffc Go back and review the WMD evidence presented by Powell to the UN. He was US secretary of state. Was Thatcher's war with Argentina any more "legal" than the US-British war on Iraq. You will also find that Boris Johnson supported the Iraq War so you are essentially either an apologist for Saddam Hussein or Boris Johnson, or msot likely both.

  12. @mhffc Make your mind up. Iraq was largely created as a state by the British, the Falklands were colonised. And now you're introducing North Korea. And all to defend Boris Johnson, who voted for the Iraq war and for May's agreement with the European Union and is now toadying up to Trump, another supporter of the Iraq war.

  13. @mhffc When the British asserted control over the Falklands in 1833 there were Argentinians there, but even if there hadn't been the islands are just off the Argentinian coast. Why is seizing them, or India for that matter, any different to supporting the US invasion of Iraq in 2003? And I note you have nothing to say about Johnson - the worse prime minister in history - backing the Iraq war, screwing up that poor woman in jail in Iran or generally looking like a complete buffoon. "Loon landing" was the Private Eye headline when the clown was "elected" prime minister.

  14. @mhffc Exactly. And the fact the Falkland islanders speak English reflects the colonial power. But Argentina has won its independence from Spain. By your logic the British would still be ruling a quarter of the world - as opposed to being a disfunctional polity whose parliament is unable to agree on basic issues and which is led by a clown like Boris Johnson.

  18.  @everready2903  Trump doesn't understand that if China falters they buy fewer American goods - he thinks everything is like buying derelict buildings in the Bronx (and he went bankrupt doing that). It's in countries' interests to co-operate with other countries.
