  3.  @hoggarththewisesmeagol8362  The elected British government reached an agreement with the elected 27 governments of the EU. Shouldn't that be put to the people? Why would that not be democratic?

  4.  Phil Earl  Exactly, we only trust British bureaucrats, well English bureaucrats, well bureaucrats who support a hard Brexit. The EU27 (all elected governments) laid out their position three years ago, conducted negotiations with the elected British government and then saw the British parliament reject it. No-one will se the British as reliable negotiators for a very long time.

  5.  Anonymous UK  All of them. The EU 27 negotiated on the basis of the British red lines. Then the British changed their mind. Rees-Mogg and Johnson voted both for and against the agreement. It's a total mess --- and it's heading for crash-out Brexit, which the Johnson government is already trying to blame on the EU. Well, the EU27 position has been consistent for three years and isn't going to change - it's time for the Brexiteers to tell people the truth.
