I was thinking about the whole cancelling thing recently. I grew up in Britain in the 80's at that time, we had the Conservatives banning punk music, rave music, horror films, soft core pornography. They were also trying to ban heavy metal because they thought it was satanic. Even if it was satanic (and some was) why ban it? Monty Python films were banned because the church didn't like them. Cancel culture was invented by the right.
