  1. As a Brit I find US workers rights shocking. Over here we get so much more and employers generally give more than the minimum to attract the best employees. I'm entitled to 20 days paid vacation (I get 30) Unlimited sick days with statutory pay (I get 4 weeks full pay) I'm entitled to paid leave for medical appointments My employer cannot refuse leave or cancel it once booked. I can't be punished for phoning in sick. I can't be fired without at least two warnings. These rights are the main reasons I would never relocate to the US
