  1. I've been an engineer for 30 years and he's talking absolute crap. State inspectors are experienced in their field and have worked in the industry. They aren't just dumb bureaucrats. An intelligent engineer works with regulations not against them. They lead to standardisation which ultimately makes the job easier, especially when repairing or modifying someone else's work because you'll know how things are installed or wired.
