No, when Hitler invaded Poland that wasn't legal. Genocide of the jewish people wasn't against international law at the time because that law didn't exist and the holocaust is the reason international laws for human rights and refugee rights exist. Winston Churchill was one of the instigators of these laws to ensure it could never happen again

@dianecameron137 Braverman has actually said they won't be going after the gangs despite the fact that 80% of them are based in the UK. She claimed that it's pointless because the gangs have existed for thousands of year (despite the fact border contols have existed less than 200 years). As usual, the tory policy is to not touch the rich criminals

@dianecameron137 It's been discovered that 80% of the gangs smuggling people in boats are based in the UK. Braverman has said they won't be going after them. As usual tory policy is to ignore the criminals who are making a fortune. It seems that it would be far more effective to attack the gangs

Do you remember Liz Truss saying she'd pay the £65bn she cost the country with her gamble? Or did Boris say he'd cover the more than £40bn thrown at mates of the tory party for faulty ppe and a faulty app?

Illegal means against the law. Asylum seekers are not breaking any laws unless they try to evade immigration once they are on British land which clearly they are not otherwise they wouldn't end up in the asylum process. It's the people smuggling gangs who are breaking the law and Braverman confirmed in an interview that they have no plans to go after them. Standard tory policy, let criminals carry on making a pile of money. Can't stop people getting rich especially if they're criminals

@mrman8388 As far as I can tell, woke just means you don't hate everyone different to you

@marcuspd477 He's not trying to force society to do anything though is he? All he's doing is talking. I strongly disagree with what a lot of politicians and celebrities have to say about a lot of things but I'll never say anyone should be stopped from speaking their mind. That doesn't mean there should never be consequences for speaking your mind, I'm sure if I insulted your mother, you'd swiftly punch me in the chops and quite rightly so. He is free to say what he thinks just as you are free to say that you disagree.
