  1. It's unlikely that they will cut them this year. What will happen though is that we'll see no drop in channel crossings, tories will get a battering in the local elections and even more tory voters will be persuaded to switch over to Reform. I can't see it being good for them to wait.

  3. It won't effect inflation. That's been debunked by several economists. Our inflation is currently driven by a 20% increase in energy prices. A million or so nurses getting a 20% pay rise will have zero effect as it won't raise the national average salary by anywhere near the current 11% inflation
