  2. just remember when you argue against other people's right to protest you also argue against your own right to protest. I actually agree with her on this one. Businesses and rich people shouldn't be able to buy influence in government. It should be illegal for political parties of all persuasions to take donations from anyone. They should be funded only by their membership

  3. No it isn't. Energy is sold on the international markets. Prices are determined by the balance of supply and demand, the producers have absolutely no control over pricing. The only people getting rich from high energy prices are the oil companies. The UK tax payer, subsidises the oil industry £10bn per year to produce oil which then goes straight to the international markets with no preferential pricing or security for the UK. Meanwhile the windfall tax announced by Sunak has so far only been applied to green energy companies due to the massive loophole for oil & gas companies

  5. Well technically oil is regenerative but at an incredibly slow rate. The oil that exists now is all pre-ice age the problem is that there's a 2.4 million year gap when the earth was covered in ice and no organic matter was decomposed down to make more oil and it's not been all that long since the last ice age. Give it another couple million years and new oil fields will be formed
