  1. I was working in automotive engineering in 2016 and when the results of the vote came in all of the EU car manufacturers (80% of our business) stopped placing new orders. Existing contracts were left to run but development of new products stopped. Fortunately, as an engineer it was easy to find another job in another industry but that company shut their uk factory in late 2018 and now just has a small development team in the UK with 30 employees rather than the 400ish they used to have
