I bought for the first time in the early 90'swhen rates were approaching 10% and a 2 bedroom house cost me the equivalent of 3 years wages and I was only a welder, not a stock broker. Now a person working in that same job would need to spend around 9 times their annual pay to buy the same house

  3. The illegal migration bill is pointless. It's been proven it won't work and it'll be defeated the first time it's challenged in the courts. Labours plan to re-open the Calais asylum office makes far more sense. With that re-opened we don't have to accommodate anyone, there's no point crossing the channel and no one steps foot in the UK unless already accepted. It's the system we used to have, it was far more effective than anything since and Boris was an idiot to close it. He was warned it would lead to exactly this situation
