The original Roe V Wade decision was made without a referandum, but that didn't seem to bother you before today. Anyway - you're being lied to. This is NOT a ban. The only change that was made is that individual states now decide whether they have abortion in their state.

It doesn't outlaw ANY abortion: You're being lied to. This is NOT a ban. The only change that was made is that individual states now decide whether they have abortion in their state.

This ruling is not a ban on abortion: the only difference it makes is that states, and not federal government, now decide whether their state has abortion. The bbc, true to form, is lying about this just as it lies about everything else.

@xensonar9652 It moved the decision from federal government to state level - many states chose to keep abortion, some chose not to - the weird thing is you have conceded this point yet you're still arguing against it. Your real problem is that you can't stand the fact that some states chose to terminate it. That's your real problem here, whether you want to consciously admit it or not.

2
You're lying: the overturn simply means that it is up to individual states to decide what their stance is, and not the federal government.
2
What happened is you were lied to again by the media again and you believed it. This is NOT a ban - the ruling only changes one thing: states get to decide individually whether they allow abortion: that's the only change. Plus - I'm dismayed that you think only religious "zealots" care about unborn children.

Exactly.

It's not a ban! The only difference this ruling makes is that individual states, not the federal government, now decide whether they have abortion in their state. Amazing how the bbc can't even tell the truth about that.
1
@xensonar9652 No - it gave individual states the right to make the decision, which you have just admitted yourself without even realising it, so I don't know why you're asking me what I'm talking about. Other states didn't ban - that's the whole point.
1
@xensonar9652 I'll have to go back to my original point, which you know very well. It's NOT a ban - the federal government has handed the decision to individual states - some of whom made a decision that you personally don't like - and that's where your real problem with this lies. On the bright side for yourself - plenty of other states chose to keep their abortion rules.
1
@xensonar9652 This is going around in circles. Yes, the states that wanted to ban abortion are now able to, now that the federal government is no longer banning them from doing so. So no it's not an outright ban, and yes, states that want to keep abortion will be keeping it. You're just angry that states have the option to do so, regardless of how it was phrased in the documentation.
1
@xensonar9652 No, it seems to me that you haven't read the documentation. 1: Abortion has not been banned 2: States who want to keep it can keep it while states who want to ban it can ban it. 3: You can't regard everything that doesn't go your way as an outright ban.
1
@xensonar9652 Having lost the argument you're now changing it to something else: you know this isn't a ban, you can't stand the fact that I pointed out it isn't a ban , and now you're asking me if I read documents that you yourself haven't read.
1
@xensonar9652 Yes, individual states have put their decisions into effect (to ban), other individual states have also put their's into effect (not to ban): interesting that you talk about versions of reality when you are confirming yourself the very point I made in the first place.
1
@xensonar9652 You're gonna crash hard when you actually read them.
1
@xensonar9652 You can gaslight all you want - you've lost the argument or, more specifically, you don't realise that you have confirmed my first point multiple times. I know all about Roe V Wade - I also know that in that case the abortion was never even carried out in the end. I wonder how many other people even know that. Stop arguing in circles.
1
@xensonar9652 It's taking you longer to gaslight than it was earlier. I guess you're running out of gas. Yeah, I knew states were being prevented from banning and that this ruling changes that - I'm still fascinated by your need to keep coming back but keep running away from the very first point I made - that this ruling was not a ban.
1
@xensonar9652 I'm glad you've finally seen the light. Have a wonderful day.
1
@xensonar9652 Lol, well maybe you should try it some time :D
1
@xensonar9652 The notes you say you read but still don't understand? Yeah, no wonder your lessons are free lol.
1
@xensonar9652 Lol, looks like you've completely run out of gas.

1
To be honest with you that's how Roe V Wade was created in the first place - a few individuals and no referandum. Interesting that it didn't seem to bother you before today. BTW don't worry - This is NOT a ban. The only change that was made is that individual states now decide whether they have abortion in their state.

1
@grime2.085 Individual states make independent decisions every single year over many different issues - that's the way the US was structured in the first place.
1
@grime2.085 Its NOT a taking away of rights - it is allowing individual states to make their own decisions. How difficult is this to understand?
1
The BBC, as usual, is lying about this: this ruling simply means that states will now decide whether they have abortion, not the federal government. It only changed the level of decision making, that's all.
