Comments by "Jack Spring" (@jackspring7709) on "Putin declares four areas of Ukraine as Russian in illegal annexation - BBC News" video.
One of the very few sensible comments I've read regarding this entire sorry business.

Do some research on what's actually happening there rather than taking the word of the same people who told us Iraq had weapons of mass destruction: you could start by the violent overthrow of Ukraine's elect government back in 2014, followed by the attacks, pogroms and massacres carried out against East Ukraine (which is mainly ethnic Russian) by Kiev forces and paramilitaries.

Very strange times indeed, when people still believe the jimmy savile channel and the same liars who told us Iraq had WMDs.

Nice metaphor - nothing to do with what is actually happening on the ground there. Try not to believe the same liars who told us all that Iraq had WMDs, Assad gassed his own people and Gaddafi pulled babies out of incubators - and let's not forget the BBC's most celebrated darling was Britain's most prolific predatory paedophile who was given top jobs as a children's presenter for 40 years, even 'though the bbc knew exactly what he was doing. You trust that lot - lol.

Zelensky poses for US fashion magazines and demands that soldiers carry on walking into certain death: do some research on what's actually going on there since 2014 instead of believing the same people who talked us into slaughtering over a million people by lying to us that Iraq had WMDs.

Translation: "The vote didn't go in a way I agree with so it must have been rigged and I'll pull a quote from a historical tyrant to prove it was rigged".

Its a regular "mistake" that the bbc make - its right up there with the Iraq WMD lie and their hiring of Britain's most prolific predatory paedophile as a top presenter for 40 years, despite knowing exactly what he was doing.

@michaw2209 The soviet Union was responsible for the expansion you mentioned. the Yeltsin years were responsible for the Chechen war. He's gone. This is a different era: and your comment makes makes as much sense as me saying Britain deserved to be bombed by the Nazis during WW2 because of what the British did in Ireland between 1641-1921. Completely different conflicts.

@michaw2209 They do nullify what you said: you don't blame people for what others did one hundred years ago. And I would very VERY strongly recommend you do some research into what caused this, starting with the violent overthrow of Ukraine's elected government with the help of $5bn of US State Dept money (Victoria Neuland already spoke openly about doing that: followed by the banning of the Russian language, followed by attacks, then killings, then pogroms carried out against East Ukraine (which is mainly ethnic Russian) culminating in the mass burning alive of peaceful protestors in the Union building in Odessa. I bet you didn't even know that this conflict has been between East & West Ukraine, that it began in 2014 - that a peace agreement was signed (Minsk) which Russia urged East Ukraine to sign - and that Kiev never honoured but kept on carrying out attacks against East Ukraine until, finally, in Feb 2022 Kiev intensified shelling of East Ukraine and began amassing forces on the border to prepare to overrun Easy Ukraine. You also may want to look at the Rand Corporation's paper released in 2019 outlining steps that can be taken to provoke Russia into a long war using Ukraine as a proxy. These are all facts. If Russia was the bad guy in this situation I would say so - but in this situation they are not.

@bluehorizon6100 Incredible remark. You're the one who's been bringing up past history, not me: I've been talking about what's happening right now. Don't waste my time with red herrings. It's all a matter of record what I have written - if you choose not to believe it I don't know what else I can tell you.

@bluehorizon6100 I'm not ranting. I stated basic facts, now kindly stop wasting my time.

@michaw2209 Old history, Putin isn't Stalin or Yeltsin: completely new era - these people you talk about are long dead and Russia has changed: Take a look at the Rand Corporation's document released in 2019 on how the US intended to draw Russia into a war by provoking the country and also using Ukraine as a proxy: take a look at the violent overthrow of Ukaine's elected govt in 2014 with the help of $5bn US tax dollars from the State Dept and the attacks on East Ukraine, including massacres, by Kiev's government. The 8 years of numerous DIPLOMATIC attempts by Russia to bring a peaceful resolution to this until shelling against East Ukraine intensified and Kiev forces began amassing on the border for another invasion. This time East Ukraine and Russia had had enough. They tolerated a huge amount in the last 8 years.

Yeah, the Russians gave Ed Snowden safe passage after the US was ready to drop him in a deep hole - and how are things going for Julian Assange at the moment? you may also want to look into how Germany is dealing with critics right now, too.

These areas VOTED....just like Kosovo did many years ago.
