I'd be interested to know if they are actual gardai or some type of security personnel working on behalf of the gardai or state and, if so, who they are and where they are from. Someone else pointed this out yesterday and I think they have a point: there's something about that riot gear they are wearing. The colours. I don't know.

@Bloodroot5 Hi. I was aware of the new yellow tops which, although ugly, seem to suit the spirit of the new remit of the gardai, but those riot uniforms seem different, even for the new change: I know that Canada used non-police security thugs in various riot gear to attack the truckers: I have a feeling the same is going on here.

@Bloodroot5 I didn't know Australia had offered Gardai a better life. No wonder the best have left. I stayed in Australia some years ago, Perth, and loved the place.

@joseparcenary4706 The EEC is the EU: it was set up to draw people in as the European Economic Community, then once it had roped nations in it changed its name to the EC 'European Community' and finally, when it felt comfortable to reveal itself, it dropped the word 'Community' and changed it to 'Union'. Think of the name EEC being the bag of sweets that the creep used to lure his victims into his van marked EU.
