Most of Ireland's history is swept under the carpet: what was done to that country during the 700 years occupation is far worse than most, even in Ireland, realise - even worse than what most 'oppressed nations' have been through, and, oddly, its rarely spoken or written about by Irish historians. To hear this mantra of privilege from some privileged and ignorant NGO puppet is stomach churning.
