@dougaltolan3017 It was even hotter than this, I remember it well: there was even a drought in Ireland, grass was yellow and orange from the sun and fires were even caused by the heat in some open areas. It was far, far hotter than this in the 1970's, especially early to mid 70s.

@Boss Well, the same working class people voted for Labour in a landslide in 1997 and got exactly the same as labour turned their backs on their own base - and now there is currently no difference between labour, the tories and the lib dems.

Oh, the cops are too afraid to operate Covid rules here.
1
Never apologise to witch hunters.......
1
Don't think for one second that labour or the libdems are any different. The covid lockdown of the economy (for 2 years) started this and the sanctions war against Russia (which backfired) completed it: where were the dissenting voices from Labour or the lib dems? Nowhere. They were in lockstep.

Misery loves company - and the Evening Standard is very very miserable.
1
You hit the nail on the head, there: today's political is populated by people who are unemployable in the real world.
1
Yes - they're claiming he's dead because they've become so useless as a police force that they've lost interest in finding him. For the last 5 years they've been going after "hate speech", mean tweets, praying Christians and covid rule breakers. Dangerous criminals are too much work for them.
1
@chrisspellman8545 Not everything: we just don't believe everything that a worthless and corrupt police force tells us like you losers.
1
The evening standard teeing up some nice business for their friends in the heat-proofing industry. But they still can't get anyone to buy their paper.
1
"Everyone has the face they deserve by the time they're 50." - George Orwell.
1
Lol - you call that getting rough? Lol.
1
Nobody wants labour, either. Why don't they understand this? Nothing will change for the better under them. The three main parties are all the same.
1
Has the - ahem - Standard reported on the lawsuit that was submitted recently with evidence that hancock, whitty, valance and ferguson stood to gain personally from a mass vaccine rollout? Look at your like to dislike ratio and please try to be actual journalists.
1
Yellow snow's the worst!
1
Lol. Misery loves company and the Evening Standard is very very miserable.
1
The Evening Standard: a rag so vacuous that it has to be given away for free at underground stations.
1
Evening Standard redieines the word "attack". (I've fixed your headline for you).
1
Exactly.
1
"Unvarnished news". yeah - because you can't polish a t**d.
1
Nothing whatsoever - he only knows what his puppet masters tell him.
1
@Quotesoflife.568 The summers were far hotter than this in the 1970s, I remember it well. Even Ireland had a drought, the grass was yellow and there were even some open air fires caused by the heat: the early to mid seventies were the hottest - 40 years ago: the weather goes in cycles: in the 1600's there were people growing grapevines in some parts of England.
1
That fool doesn't rule anything in or out - he gets handed scripts and he reads them out - just like you lot in the "media".
1
SNOW???!!! IN WINTER??? You can't be serious. Tell me its not true!
1
I guess the MSM are very surprised that an untested vaccine created by a big pharma corp which lobbied hard for (and was granted) exemption from any type of liability should their products cause harm or death has started harming people. Yeah, only MSM could be surprised by that one.
1
Exactly. I wouldn't take cues from that mop-haired freak even if I was paid to.
1
Well you lot in the media helped endorse this insane sanctions war with Russia whilst lying about what is really going on in Ukraine. You all share the blame in this.
1
He must have a very easy life if he's so devastated about being called a liar: which, ironically is exactly what he is: but I don't know what he's crying about - he should be in court answering questions, not standing infront of a whitewash "inquiry" telling us how offended he is.
1
Lol.
1
Not since Iraq's WMDs "claim" has the mainstream media disgraced and humiliated itself so completely. You are savages.
1
Higher taxes and government contracts for their friends: I'm sure the owners of The Standard already have people lined up who would be perfect for that contract.
1
What about the UK? Does this country actually even register with you guys? There are OLD people being told they're goinG to freeze this winter because YOU LOT SANCTIONED RUSSIAN FUEL. WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?
1
Lol.
1
Yep and 'Bozo the Killer Clown' just got top billing.
