The funniest thing about it was that I saw the police being interviewed years later about the case and they were still livid that no-one gave up the killers. I was amazed that they even had the motivation to be livid but there we go.

I have to say - I did feel very sorry for the guy when someone put his windows through and you could see him weeping for a few seconds before composing himself: even Dank felt sorry for him when he saw that.

"The pen is mightier than the sword". That all depends on where you stick it.

Vermin removal.

I remember an art teacher teacher once remarking to me: "anyone whose willing to pay a fortune for 3 lines on a canvas deserves what they're buying".
86
Lol he won't need to - everyone saw him do it and everyone knows who did it: the only people who don't know who did it was the cops.
26
He doesn't quite have his father's gnads, 'though.
26
I remember it well: I thought at the time that these sniper attacks were related to the war on terror.
26
And it's exactly why the political class over there are so determined to disarm the population.
23
Yep: that was ingenious.
22
Absolute Mad Vlad. A few interesting facts: Vlad and his brother were trained and recruited as special forces soldiers (Janizarians) by the Turks: Vlad himself possessed immense physical strength. He also later personally led the many ambushes and raids against Turkish troops.
22
@Rancorous_Ryan The Guardian lol. A newspaper that has shamed itself over and over again with the lies that it prints. Dear oh dear.
20
It's the same over here in Europe. The criminals have guns, of course. I hope Americans hold onto their 2nd Amendment - if they don't they'll end up like us...sitting ducks.
20
He had eyes and ears in the US state dept - and a son in Canada :D
20
I believe his story. Normally I wouldn't believe a story like that but I worked with a lot of refugees from the Balkan war when I was living in Germany in the nineties - and I believe him.
19
I worked with a lot of refugees from that war when I lived in Germany in the early nineties, mostly Bosnians and Croats - some of the nicest people I've ever met: I found the same to be true of the Serbs that I worked with there, too, tbh. It's hard to imagine that their states were in such a savage war against each other.
18
Lol you're not the only one!
16
Well, those doctors and nurses must have had some weird ways of pleasuring themselves if they assumed a hemorrhoid bleed was down to you putting something there.
13
That's a fair point but tbh if he was evil and conniving enough to manipulate the youngster into murdering multiple people I seriously doubt he even considered the welfare of the boy.
12
True. It was the Streisand effect before it was called the Streisand effect.

@maddie709 P.S. on your comment that Rathband was a "troubled man" - you probably would be, too, if you'd had both your eyes blown out by a psycho with a shotgun.
9
@MidlifeCrisisJoe True. Eustace Mullins was once on McCarthy's team - he talked about how he was removed and replaced by Roy Cohn: shortly afterwards things began to unravel. TBH I believe Roy Cohn was put there to subvert and destroy the McCarthy hearings and McCarthy himself. Sure - Cohn was hated himself but he didn't care: just like Tony Blair is hated in Britain, but he doesn't't care - he carried out the deep state's bidding and that's all he cared about.
9
Ugh :/

Hey, Dank: I just want to point out one note of optimism which a lot of people may miss: from 31:48 on - pretty much the same joke that got you into trouble in the first place but we know the police and courts will not touch it with a 10 foot barge pole this time. Maybe this case has achieved a lot more than you may realise.
8
Kindred spirits in the courts system.
7
British justice.
6
I don't think the police slept - it sounds to me like there was some sort of relationship between him and senior officers: could be he was an informant, or maybe he and those cops shared some sort of common criminal pastime.
5
I'm glad you got to the core of the problem in the end.
4
Yep: no wonder the democrats are so determined to abolish the 2nd Amendment.
4
On that subject I'd love to see you do an episode on Lawnchair Larry, the guy who was arrested for flying 15,000 feet into airspace on a chair attached to 43 helium balloons and a bb gun.
3
Did you really have Ass burgers?
3
True - but tbh he actually sounded as if he was happy.
2
The psychotic billionaire who tried to take over the world - lol - there are a lot of those, Dank, and they're still at it.
2
@How_To_Drive_a_TARDIS Lol!
2
Lol, nice one.
2
I like a story with a happy ending :)
2
@alberttrita5858 Wow. Thanks for letting me know. Maybe one day I'll get to visit the place.
2
@alberttrita5858 Thanks. I'm going to look that up. :)
2
This is the first episode :D.
2
A weird ass? I've never heard a myth about a weird ass, but that sounds very intriguing.
2
More accurate, too.
2
...at the same time rock stars were taking lsd in America and everyone was idolising them. I don't think the CIA had their thinking caps on then lol...or maybe they were taking some of it themselves. :D
2
I never knew that.
2
@scowler7200 No. That was Bear (arse) Grills.
2
Yep - they don't make them like that anymore.
2
lol, nice one!
2
@krald8421 True - my opinion is that he had something going on with the cops. It's very unusual that they were so angry about his passing: he was clearly supplying them with something.
2
@beeaye7944 Certainly they were suddenly missing out on something he was supplying them with.
2
Let's stop for a second to imagine what it must have been like saving the world from fascism only to return home to a fascist state, harassed by your own police and robbed by your own legislature.
1
So I guess it looks like the bottle is mightier than the sword. TBH under normal circumstances I wouldn't have believed his claim but I worked with a lot of refugees from that region when I was living in Germany and I can tell you that I believe him.
