  1. In 2004 a junior journalist at Channel 4 News approached his bosses to inform them that something awful was happening in Rotherham that needed to be reported on. Ch 4 then met with senior police officers and they all agreed between them that running the story could lead to bigotry and violence so they decided not to run it. These awful things continued for another 10 years until critical mass finally forced the story out into the open in 2014 - 10 years later. Ch4 still continues to wag its finger and declare itself on the vanguard of wmns rights.
