@billuhman I agree with Amy Wright - and I have been in physical fights and I know what you mean about tunnel vision and not being able to feel anything at the time - but officers are trained, that's the difference. I know I would have gone straight to jail in the same situation, without question - involuntary manslaughter is probably the best I could hope for. Saying people don't have a right to criticise her because 'they are not police officers' is not an argument. I agree with Dr Grande - she shouldn't have been a police officer.

@jamescaley9942 I understand your point: believe me and I'm not anti-cop - I've been disgusted with the abuse they've been receiving from particularly the democrat political class and media outlets. I feel bad for this particular cop, too. All I'm saying is that if I as a civilian had accidentally shot a guy dead, thinking for instance, I was firing an airsoft weapon I would be straight up on felony charges and going to prison: the best I could hope for would be involuntary manslaughter. I do feel bad for her, but she has special training and special privileges as a police officer - under those circumstances they have to be held to a higher standard.

@billuhman I understand that point: I've seen cops react amazingly under pressure, there was the instance some months back where a cop, within a mili second, identified a threat even 'though someone was trying to distract him in the middle of a malaise and he managed to shoot a woman who was (mid plunge) about to stab another woman in the heart - the force from the impact even helped to change the trajectory of the knife. Amazing skill: I was also dumbfounded at Kyle Rittenhouse's performance under intense pressure, and he had received no training (other than his arms training). I do feel bad for that cop - maybe the training needs to be changed for some police officers.
