  1. That story about bono really is a microcosm: two rock stars meet at an airport: one returning with children he had rescued from a war zone, the other on his way to schmooz the people who started that war.

  2. I worked in Germany for a little while after college in the early 90s: U2 were on a tour there at the time and came into the restaurant one day being jerks and acting like rock stars. My boss, to his great credit, threw them all out, he didn't care who they were.

  3.  @seancommins172  I see. I remember the album, alright, and them being there when I was over there. I guess, from what you're describing, that must have been the point that bone decided to save the world through recording sessions, concert tickets and self promotion.
