  3. A few years ago I was listening to a guy from Kenya who was joining his brothers as mercenaries in Ukraine. He sounded euphoric, as if he was going on Safari. I warned him not to go and that he'd find the Russians to be nothing like the lightly armed militias his brothers were used to facing. He didn't listen. They're probably all dead now if they weren't lucky enough to flee the country with their tails between their legs.

  7. If the tories hadn't turned their backs on their voters they wouldn't be in this position: I don't want the starmer gang in either, but she and her ilk brought their own demise. Tories are finished - now we need to concentrate on finishing labour, too.
