  1. A few years ago I was listening to a guy from Kenya who was joining his brothers as mercenaries in Ukraine. He sounded euphoric, as if he was going on Safari. I warned him not to go and that he'd find the Russians to be nothing like the lightly armed militias his brothers were used to facing. He didn't listen. They're probably all dead now if they weren't lucky enough to flee the country with their tails between their legs.
