True: but let's also not forget the very valuable part the media played - and all those family members, work colleagues, "friends" and neighbours who rolled over then bullied, coerced others to comply - and ostracised all of us who were trying to push back. They all share equal shame in all this. It wouldn't have been possible without them.

I'm reading a book about the Salem witch hunts. Amazing parallels - even down to the loudest and angriest, most vengeful witch hunters, suddenly becoming very quiet when the tide had turned - and silently tip toeing away from what they had done, whilst telling everyone it had nothing to do with them.

The best way to ensure justice is to sue the individuals: that way they can't hide behind their departments and they will have to pay their own legal fees. That would cure things very quickly but, for some reason, no lawyers are talking about this: probably because short cases aren't lucrative enough for them.

@janwhite6038 He will do what we all did: refuse it. I guess you'll just roll over like the pessimist and coward that your comment suggests. Good luck to you.

Suing individuals is far more effective than suing agencies: as individuals they can't hide behind their departments, they would have to pay their own fees and their depts won't protect them.
