The officers a tool: it's okay for him cruising around in his bullet proof vest and all his arms and back up: nobody's going to try to rob him at gunpoint.

@edwin2600 Yeah: two thugs walk into the place so the owner should think "Its okay, they're not pointing a gun at me so I'll assume neither of them are armed". That's a big assumption to make when you have very little time and are the target of a crime. And the "security expert" who said people should just hand their stuff over should not even be in that line of work. You're also making a big assumption about my opinion of cops: I think cops in general have been treated very badly and scapegoated by politicians and media for their own purposes. I hated the defund the police movement. My point was purely about self protection and the 2nd Amendment - and I (rightly) illustrated it by using Uvalde as an example.
