Do some research, Spectator. The governments of East Ukraine, the Donbas region, asked Russian forces to come in and help them defend themselves against Kiev forces which were shelling Donbas and amassing along the border: it was clear they were getting ready to attack East Ukraine.....Again!

@alanharwood1636 Its a matter of public record - all of it. Kiev even admits it themselves. If you did what the rest of us did - your own research instead of sitting there listening to the same people who told you Iraq had WMDs, you wouldn't be in the rut of doing nothing and waiting for people to spoon-feed you. The fact that you still believe the people who fooled you over Iraq is shocking, but that's up to you to deal with, not for me to spoon-feed you.

@alanharwood1636 If you're incapable of doing your own research, there is a documentary on youtube called 'Ukraine on Fire'. It gives the context and background for everything. After that I would strongly advise you to start researching things for yourself instead of believing the same people who told you Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Its not very bright to believe people with that track record. I hope you watch the documentary and any of your own research afterwards, if you bother to do either.

@alanharwood1636 I said Ukraine on Fire is a good starting point for people who are too lazy to do their own research. I also said you could then follow it up with your own research, which is what any person who wants a full understanding does. If you want to believe the same liars who fooled you about Iraq's non-existent weapons of mass destruction, go ahead, I won't fault you for that: but don't sit there doing nothing and expect others who have done their research to constantly spoon feed you with stuff you don't want to believe anyway: all you're doing is wasting our time and your life.

@alanharwood1636 I stopped supplying lazy people like you with links a long time ago because the answer was always 'I don't believe that' or they would even read the links. You're all the same: I'll give you one pointer, but I know you won;'t follow it, people like you never do. There is a documentary called 'Ukraine On Fire' - it gives a full breakdown of what actually happened there. Just search it on youtube: you won't have to do anything else but just sit there and watch it. You can then, if you want, look into it further yourself, but I know you won't and I've probably even wasted my time pointing you towards that documentary. I could have answered you by demanding that you send me evidence to the contrary but I have a much higher opinion of myself than that. Learn something.

@stevecobb2997 I'm not talking about the Hungary in 1956 or Afghanistan in 1979: I'm talking about Donbas in 2022. Russia is no longer the Soviet union. Rather than trying to draw attention away from the facts that I wrote you should understand the difference. Lol - you may want to ask the "uniform" question about NATO personnel from around the world who were in the same area at the same time on behalf of Kiev. Cheeky.

@kevinmcfarlane2752 Exactly. I've been trying to explain this to multitudes of the stupidest people I have ever come across in my life - all of whom still believe the same liars who told us Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. 1 million lives that lie cost and still people sit there being spoon fed by them and throw insults and abuse at anyone who tries to tell them what's really going on or to at least do their own research.
